fit to a T

he was in the subway car directly across from me last night
a true cowboy
an urban cowboy
from his superman baseball cap
his rugged stubble covered chin
flannel shirt
torn jeans
to his cowboy boots
he even swaggered

i would have asked for the time to check for a hint of a husky accent
but i was too intimidated
plus, cowboys don't wear watches, do they?

there was no way i would meet him at high noon
